My First Entry

Well this is my first try at a blog. I prefer to be anonymous so will not be signing my name. I am mainly planning to use this as a place to just vent my feelings and write whatever comes to mind - more a blog for me personally. If anyone wants to read it, that's fine - but it will probably be really boring. :-)

Today is Jan. 1st. I don't believe in New Year's resolutions as I know I can't keep them. But I do want to try to improve myself this year and get my life on track better. I have a wonderful life and couldn't ask for more, but I could be much better organized and productive!

My main goals for 2005 are: 1) to be a better housekeeper 2) to work my horses more often and get some of them sold 3) to get my finances in better shape and 4) to be able to afford to start a home study so we can adopt. I want to be able to do all this and still not cut down on the time I spend with my grandson!

My far reaching dreams are: 1) to have a successful (in my mind) stallion station 2) to be able to train horses well for trail and western pleasure riding 3) to adopt 3-4 children internationally and 4) the really far fetched one - to be able to quit my job at the post office, make my living with the horses, and stay home with the kids!! I'm thinking about also trying to get back into my leather tooling. I had never really put enough time into it to get really good, but would like to try again. Perhaps even selling some items - locally and on ebay.

I'd like to train shelter dogs in agility so they could find good homes also. But I only have so much time and, unless I can quit my postal job, I can't fit all that into the time available to me! (And I have no experience training dogs at all so would have to learn that from the beginning!)

I'd also like to get in better shape physically but I know that goal isn't important enough to me to put in the effort it would take. I could stand to lose about 30 pounds but since I don't look like I'm that overweight, I know I won't put in the time and effort. Since heart disease runs in my family, I really should put more of a priority on this.

Well that's enough for today I think.
